Protect your toddler’s teeth

  1. Do not share your spoon with your child when eating.
  2. Take children to the Dentist at least once a year for a check up.
  3. Brush your child teeth at least two times a day.
  4. Give sweets to your children only as a treat.
  5. Ensure that they drink a lot of water. This wil wash away sugars in your child mouth.

Do you know?

  • Sugar causes the teeth to decay as they snack on sugary treats and carbohydrates. This also happens when they have teeth and are still using a bottle.
  • Kissing them or sharing spoon with them can cause the child to be infected with germs (streptococcus mutan) that cause the teeth to decay.
  • A sure sign of decay (rottening) is when your child has white sludge that collects along the gum line of your child’s upper teeth.
