Earth Day is a special reminder for us to encourage your child’s understanding and appreciation of the Earth’s environment. It is also a great time to learn about our planet and how to take care of it. Visit a Plant Nursery or local Garden Centre to purchase seeds (radishes, sunflowers) that sprout quickly. Always ensure that the plants are child-friendly.
Do you know recycling is one of the most environmentally friendly things you can do? Other reusing tips are:
- Decorate a bag and use it as a gift bag instead of buying wrapping paper.
- Store your good leftovers into a clean food container.
- Turn a used box into a storage box.
- Save bubble wrap and various boxes and use them when you need to send or give a present.
- Decorate an old but clean can and place your pens and pencils in it.
